The first 1000 days
Supporting your little one’s brain development
Newborns 0-3 months
Getting to know your new baby is a wonderful experience, but it can at times be challenging knowing how to respond to their cries and how to care for them. If your child has been born prematurely or has an underlying neurological or physical condition, knowing how to care for your little one can be even more daunting.
We use the Brazelton® approach in the first few months to help you understand your baby’s uniqueness and what they are communicating to you. This will help you to be sensitive to your baby’s signals and respond to their needs effectively, ultimately supporting their brain development and developing their emotional resilience and sensory regulation for later in life.
We can help with:
Developing your confidence in knowing how to meet your baby’s needs through learning about and observing their early behavioural cues.
Strategies for promoting early infant sleep
Harnessing your baby’s optimal arousal for feeding and interacting with you
Babies and Toddlers 0-3 years
We know that Early Intervention reflected in family centred coaching and support is so effective in maximising an infant’s or toddler’s development. If your little one is not reaching their milestones as you think they should be, or they have additional neurological or physical needs, early intervention in the first few years to develop their motor or sensory skills is so important in helping them reach their potential.
We can help with:
Early identification of neurological difficulties and intervention to support motor and sensory development.
Development of early motor milestones
Strategies to encourage play, attention and sensory processing skills
Intervention is provided in your home, as well as via video consultations as needed.
